Dig and Hold is a one of a kind Ground Anchoring System. The easy to use lightweight dish and key allow you to secure your beach umbrellas, pop up canopies, volleyball nets, kayaks, fishing poles, dogs, inflatables and more. Our fans think of new uses for it every day, such as trampolines, hammock stands, small trees and equipment. Dig and Hold includes two 5″ dishes, two keys with paracord and two 14′ webbing straps. The round design has no sharp edges. Carry it in your beach bag, backpack, vehicle or toolbox without damaging other belongings.
How it Works
- Use the round dish to dig down approximately 18 inches in sand or soft soil; use a shovel if needed in firmer soil.
- Run the rope up through the keyhole at the bottom of the dish.
- Pull rope all the way through until the key is firmly seated.
- Place Dig & Hold in the hole.
- Now cover and pack down the sand or soil as you fill in the hole.

The round dish and key are smooth, with no sharp edges so they travel safely in bags. The included paracord key and dish are lightweight and easy to stow.
Use the Dig and Hold for fishing poles, kayaks, inflatables and beach games, the 14 foot webbing straps reach and secure most setups. Fans discover new uses every season, from hammock stands to small equipment.
Dig about 18 inches, seat the key and dish, then pack sand firmly around it for a solid hold. The straps and keylet make attaching umbrella poles or canopy legs quick and repeatable.
A few practical checks will help you pick the right anchoring approach for your outing.
- What you need: Match the anchor to what you plan to secure, for example umbrella, kayak, or pet leash.
- Check the surface: Anchors work best in loose sand or soft soil; very compacted clay and rock reduce holding power.
- How many anchors: Large canopies or multi pole setups usually need more than one anchor for stable support.
- Bring a shovel: A small folding shovel speeds setup, especially in firmer sand, and helps reach the recommended 18 inch depth.
- Test before leaving: Give a firm pull test on each anchor after packing, adjust if any movement appears.

Will this hold my beach umbrella or canopy?
It helps secure umbrellas and small pop up canopies in sand or soft snow, but holding strength depends on wind, sand firmness and setup. Use multiple anchors for larger canopies.
Can I use Dig and Hold for a dog leash?
Yes, many customers use it to secure dogs at the beach. Always supervise your pet and test the anchor in the sand before leaving it unattended.
Which surfaces work best?
Loose sand and soft soil give the best grip when you dig and pack the dish about 18 inches deep. It will be less effective in packed clay, rock, or very pebbly ground.
