The Classic Bench Swing is handmade from reclaimed Ash, which is a beautiful and durable hardwood.
Each seat is kiln-dried and sanded to perfection before being finished with a coat of Thompson's Weather Sealer to enhance the wood's natural beauty and help protect it from the elements.
Once finished we hand splice the highest quality 3/4" tan polypropylene rope to each side.
Our Classic Bench Swing is designed to blend in with its natural surroundings and compliment your landscaping.

Size & Materials: Our swing seats are made from Ash which is a strong and durable hardwood. Swing seats measure 24” long by 8” wide and a sturdy 1 1/2” thick. Our rope is ¾” diameter light brown polypropylene. This rope is smooth to the touch, shrink, stretch, rot, UV resistant and just generally looks and holds up better than sisal or manila rope.
Care: Our unstained swings are treated with a protective coat of Thompson’s® WaterSeal to help shield them from the elements. Like all natural wood products used outdoors, some upkeep is needed to keep them looking and performing their best. Depending on your local climate, reapplying Thompson’s or a similar water sealer a couple of times a year is usually sufficient. However, in more extreme conditions—such as high humidity, intense sun, or dramatic temperature swings—we recommend applying a coat of spar urethane. This finish offers added protection by allowing the wood to better flex and breathe with seasonal expansion and contraction.

We hand splice 3/4 inch tan polypropylene rope that resists UV, shrink, stretch, and rot, and finish each seat with Thompson's Weather Sealer. Always mount the swing securely, and consider professional installation for peace of mind.

- Mounting location: Pick a healthy horizontal branch or a sturdy beam with at least the recommended clearance; consider straps or eye screws depending on the mounting surface.

What hardware do I need to hang the swing?

Can I order a longer rope or a custom length?
Yes, longer ropes are offered in the product drop down, and you can contact us for custom lengths if you do not see what you need.
How do I care for the wood and finish?
