Every G5+ seat is wrapped in OEKO-TEX certified merino wool, a fiber that is naturally fire-resistant without added chemical treatments. It feels soft against your child's skin, even on long rides, and gives you one less thing to worry about.
When rear-facing on the SmartHub Base, the seat docks and rotates into position, so you are not leaning deep into the back seat to buckle in a squirming toddler. It is a small mechanical detail that makes loading and unloading far easier on your body.
Underneath the soft wool cover is a frame made from aerospace-grade aluminum, paired with a durable 5-point harness that keeps your child secure. The seat is tested to meet FMVSS 302 and FMVSS 213, the federal standards every car seat sold in the US must pass.

- Check the weight and height range: Make sure the seat's limits comfortably cover your child's current size and leave room to grow. A wider range means fewer replacements as your toddler grows.

- Consider rear-facing ease: Rear-facing is recommended for longer in the toddler years, so look for a seat that makes loading a rear-facing child simple without straining your back. A rotating dock design can make a real difference here.

Can this seat rotate when forward-facing?
Rotation is available only rear-facing and only when used on the compatible SmartHub Base, which is sold separately. Forward-facing installation uses the vehicle seat belt or LATCH system directly.
What is the weight and height range for this seat?
The G5+ fits children from 15 to 65 pounds or up to 53 inches tall, covering most kids from the toddler years into early school age.
Is the wool fabric safe for sensitive skin?
