This baby rattle is natural and unstained, made from responsibly harvested trees, and is sure to last long enough to be passed down through several generations in your family. The finish is safe yet durable and made from an organic mix of flaxseed oil and locally grown beeswax. Choose any 3 colors for your disks!

Each Georgia rattle is cut and shaped from solid cherry hardwood, not pressed wood or plastic. The natural, unstained finish lets the grain show through, so no two rattles look exactly alike.Over time the wood only grows richer in color, which is part of what makes it feel like a piece worth keeping.
Leave it plain, add a name, or have the full birth announcement laser engraved right on the state shape. Full name, birth date, time, length, and weight can all be included, turning a rattle into a keepsake you will still have long after the shaking stops.
The rattling disks inside the cutout come in a wide range of colors, from classic primaries to softer palettes like Mint Chip or Lakeshore. Choosing your own 3 means the rattle can match a nursery theme or simply reflect your own taste.

Is this rattle safe for a newborn?
Yes, it is CPSC compliant and made from solid cherry hardwood with an organic beeswax and flaxseed finish, suitable from birth. As with any toy, supervise use and check periodically for wear.
Can I really put more than two words on it?
If you want three or more words, or a full birth announcement, choose the birth stats option instead of the standard word engraving. The standard option is built for one word, two words, or a hyphenated name.
Will the engraving fade or wear off over time?
The engraving is done with a laser, which burns the design into the wood rather than printing on the surface. It is permanent and will not rub off with normal handling.
How do I clean a wooden rattle like this?
Wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry fully before giving it back to your baby. Avoid soaking it or running it through the dishwasher, since that can damage the wood and finish.
What if I am not sure which disk colors to pick?
Think about the nursery colors or the baby's gender neutral or themed palette, then pick three that work well together. If you are buying as a gift and are unsure, classic primary colors or soft neutrals are always a safe choice.
