-All our wood products come untreated. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO USE YOUR PRODUCT AROUND WATER OR OUTDOORS, we highly recommend sealing the product AFTER it’s been assembled.
-Excessive exposure to the sun and/or water and other liquids may cause warping and/or staining over time.
-Your product will arrive pre-sanded and untreated. It can easily be stained or painted once assembled. All products are wiped down prior to packaging, however, some wood dust may be present upon opening and can easily be cleaned off using a hair dryer or air compressor.
-Wood is a natural material. Variations in color, knots, texture and grain may occur.
-This product is made with Baltic Birch Plywood- a decorative hardwood plywood with veneer core.
-This product is both TSCA VI and CARB II compliant.
-This product is manufactured in Las Vegas, NV.
REFUND POLICY:
All orders are custom made-to-order and, therefore, FINAL SALE. However, should your product arrived damaged, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a replacement and/or refund.

The slotted finger joint design locks each panel into place without relying on glue alone. Made from half inch USA Baltic birch plywood, this bench is built to handle daily toddler use, from sitting to climbing.
Cut out side handles give little hands something to grip while they pull up, sit down, or scramble across the top. It turns a simple entryway piece into a spot toddlers gravitate toward on their own.
Underneath the seat, six open cubbies keep shoes, books, and hats organized and within a toddler's reach. It encourages kids to put their own things away, which is the whole point of Montessori style furniture.
A few practical questions can help you decide how to finish, place, and use a wood toddler bench before it arrives.
- Decide on the finish: The bench arrives pre-sanded and untreated, so you can leave it natural or paint, stain, or seal it. If you plan to finish it, do so after assembly for the most even result.
- Check the storage layout: Look at how the cubbies are arranged and picture what your child will actually store there, shoes, board books, or hats. A layout that matches your entryway routine gets used more consistently.
- Think about where it will live: An entryway, playroom, or bedroom each call for a slightly different finish and level of daily wear. Wood exposed to a lot of sun or moisture should be sealed after assembly to prevent warping or staining over time.
- Plan for the climbing stage: Toddlers often use benches like this for climbing as much as sitting, so choose a sturdy, well built option rather than a lightweight or flimsy one.
- Set aside time for assembly: Even easy, slot together designs take a little time and space to put together. Read through the pieces before you start so you know what to expect.
Is this bench hard to put together?
No, the pieces slot together and all hardware is included. Most parents describe the assembly as very easy, though it still takes a little time and a clear workspace.
Can I paint or stain the bench?
Yes, it arrives untreated and pre-sanded so it takes paint, stain, or sealant well. It is best to finish it after assembly for the most even coverage.
Is it sturdy enough for a toddler to climb on?
The slotted finger joint construction and half inch Baltic birch plywood are designed for strength and daily use. As with any climbing furniture, adult supervision is recommended.
Will the wood grain or color look exactly like the photos?
Not exactly. Wood is a natural material, so some variation in color, grain, and small knots is normal and part of what makes each bench unique.
What is your shipping and return policy?
Orders ship from a US warehouse and shipping is free on orders over $100. Because this bench is made to order, it is final sale, but if it arrives damaged you have 30 days from purchase to request a replacement or refund, and our human support team is happy to help.
Do you ship this bench outside the continental US?
International orders, along with Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, may require an additional shipping fee, which we will send you a link to pay if it applies. Local customs duties or taxes may also apply depending on your destination.
