This baby rattle is natural and unstained, made from responsibly harvested trees, and is sure to last long enough to be passed down through several generations in your family. The finish is safe yet durable and made from an organic mix of flaxseed oil and locally grown beeswax. Choose any 3 colors for your disks!

Each rattle is cut into the shape of New York from solid cherry hardwood, left natural and unstained so the wood grain can show through. Bannor Toys has been shaping heirloom quality wood toys in Iowa since 2011, and it shows in the smooth, rounded edges of every piece.
Choose any three disk colors to match your nursery or your baby's personality, from bold primary shades to soft pastels. You can also add a name, a short word, or full birth stats with a permanent laser engraving for a one of a kind keepsake.
The rattle's shape and size make it easy for small hands to grip and shake, turning tummy time and playtime into a sensory discovery. The gentle rattle sound and smooth wood texture give babies something safe and satisfying to explore from day one.
A wooden rattle is a toy your baby will mouth, grip, and shake for months, so it helps to know what separates a good one from a forgettable one.
- Check the wood and finish: Look for solid hardwood rather than pressed wood or veneer, and ask what the finish is made from since babies put everything in their mouths. A natural oil and wax finish is a gentler choice than painted or lacquered surfaces.

Is this rattle safe for a newborn to use alone?
The rattle is designed for ages 0 and up and is CPSC compliant, but as with any small toy, a newborn or young infant should be supervised during play. Always check the toy periodically for wear, just as you would with any wooden toy.
What is the finish made from, and is it safe to chew on?
The finish is an organic mix of flaxseed oil and locally grown beeswax rather than paint or synthetic lacquer. This makes it a gentle surface for a baby who is teething or exploring the toy with their mouth.
How many words can I have engraved?
You can choose a single word, or select the two word option from the dropdown for names like Amy Jo or hyphenated names like John-Paul. If you want three or more words, or a full birth announcement with name, date, time, length, and weight, choose the birth stat option instead.
Can I leave the rattle without any engraving?
Yes, the rattle can be left completely plain if you prefer a simple, unmarked keepsake. Personalization is entirely optional.
Will the colors and wood grain look exactly like the photos?
Since this is natural, unstained cherry wood, grain and tone can vary slightly from piece to piece, which is part of what makes each rattle unique. Your chosen disk colors will be consistent, but the wood itself will have its own natural character.
