Does my child need to know how to pedal already?

How much assembly is involved?
Some assembly is required out of the box. Most parents can put it together in under 30 minutes with basic household tools.
Can the basket be removed for indoor riding?
Yes, the rear basket is removable, so you can take it off for tighter indoor spaces and reattach it for outdoor trips.
Is it safe for my toddler to use without help?
The trike meets ASTM and CPSIA safety standards and includes a protective stem cover and anti-slip handlebars, but we still recommend supervision, especially during the first few rides.
