Unlike speaker-based machines that loop a digital recording, the Dohm Classic uses an actual fan blade to produce sound. That mechanical motion creates a natural, non-looping tone that many parents find easier to fall asleep to and easier to tune out over time.
The Dohm Classic comes in a range of finishes so it can sit on a nursery dresser, a bedside table, or a home office desk without standing out. Its compact, rounded shape was designed to blend into a room, not compete with the decor.

Yes, it is designed for continuous overnight use. The fan mechanism is built to run for extended periods without overheating.
How loud is it compared to a real fan?
It sounds very similar to a box fan, since the sound is produced the same way, by moving air. The two-speed switch lets you choose a lower or higher volume depending on the room.
Will the sound wake my baby up when I turn it off in the morning?
Turning off a sound machine can sometimes cause a light sleeper to stir, since the room suddenly becomes quieter. Many parents leave it running at a low speed during naps and turn it off gradually or after baby is already awake.
