-All our wood products come untreated. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO USE YOUR PRODUCT AROUND WATER OR OUTDOORS, we highly recommend sealing the product AFTER it’s been assembled.
-Excessive exposure to the sun and/or water and other liquids may cause warping and/or staining over time.
-Your product will arrive pre-sanded and untreated. It can easily be stained or painted once assembled. All products are wiped down prior to packaging, however, some wood dust may be present upon opening and can easily be cleaned off using a hair dryer or air compressor.
-Wood is a natural material. Variations in color, knots, texture and grain may occur.
-This product is made with Baltic Birch Plywood- a decorative hardwood plywood with veneer core.
-This product is both TSCA VI and CARB II compliant.
-This product is manufactured in Las Vegas, NV.
REFUND POLICY:
All orders are custom made-to-order and, therefore, FINAL SALE. However, should your product arrived damaged, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a replacement and/or refund.

Each unit is made from half inch Baltic birch plywood, a hardwood plywood known for its strength and clean grain. It arrives pre-sanded and untreated, so the natural wood look is ready to use as-is or finished to match your nursery.
The open cubbies sit low, letting little ones see and choose their own books and toys without help. That kind of independent access is at the heart of the Montessori approach to play.
Panels are cut to slot into each other, so assembly comes down to a Philips screwdriver and a rubber mallet. Detailed instructions and hardware are included, and most parents find it goes together in well under an hour.
The right shelf depends less on looks and more on how it fits your space, your child's reach, and your plans for the wood finish.
- Measure the wall space first: Check both the width and height against your actual room, including nearby doors or furniture that could get in the way once the unit is in place.
- Decide on finish before assembly: Untreated wood can be left natural, stained, or painted, but it is much easier to apply any finish before the shelf is loaded with toys and books.
- Match cubby size to what you are storing: Open cubbies work well for baskets, board books, and stuffed animals, so think about whether your child's current toy collection fits that shape.
- Plan for anchoring to the wall: Any tall, open shelving should be anchored to the wall once assembled, especially in a room where a toddler will be climbing and pulling on it.
- Think about how the room will change: Because the shelf is low and open, it tends to work for both a Montessori style toy rotation now and general storage as your child gets older.
Is assembly difficult?
No, the panels slot together and the description notes it is very easy to put together. You will need a Philips screwdriver and a rubber mallet, or a hammer wrapped in a t-shirt if joints feel tight from humidity.
Does the wood need to be sealed or finished?
Not necessarily. It arrives pre-sanded and looks nice left natural, but if it will be near water or used outdoors, sealing it after assembly is recommended since the wood is untreated.
Will the color and grain match the photos exactly?
It will be close, but expect some natural variation. Wood is a natural material, so knots, texture, and grain color can differ slightly from piece to piece.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Contact customer support right away. Since this is a made to order, final sale item, damaged orders are handled within 30 days of purchase for a replacement or refund, and our team is happy to help.

Can I return it if I just change my mind?
