Use cold packs to reduce swelling and ease pain, or warm packs to relieve plugged ducts and encourage milk flow. The gel beads hold temperature evenly so therapy stays comfortable and effective.
Plush covers slip over the gel pads for a gentle feel against skin and easy cleaning. Remove covers to wash, then reuse pads again and again without losing comfort.
Heated packs can be wrapped around the outside of pump flanges to help with milk expression. Works with Little Martin's Electric Breast Pump and other pumps when positioned outside the flange.
A few simple checks help you pick the pads that fit your breastfeeding needs.
- Fit and shape: Choose pads that contour your breast so the gel makes full contact, for focused relief.
- Hot or cold needs: If you get engorgement or plugged ducts, warm packs can help, while cold packs reduce swelling and pain.
- Pump compatibility: If you pump, look for pads that can be positioned around the outside of flanges without blocking suction.
- Care and reuse: Prefer pads with removable, washable covers and durable gel packs you can clean and reuse safely.
- When to ask for help: If pain, fever, or redness does not improve, contact your care provider, a lactation consultant, or support resource.
How do I heat or chill the thermopads safely?
The pads are microwave and freezer safe, use the included Support Manual for recommended times. Always test temperature on your inner wrist first, and wrap the pad in a cloth before applying to the breast.
How long should I use a pad per session?
Use until you have symptom relief, commonly a few minutes at a time, then recheck comfort. If pain or skin changes occur, stop use and consult a clinician.
Can I use these with my breast pump?
Yes, the thermopads can be wrapped around the outside of pump flanges to help with milk flow, including use with Little Martin's Electric Breast Pump.
How do I clean and store the pads?
Remove the soft covers and wash them according to the care instructions, wipe the gel packs clean and store flat in a cool place. Do not puncture the gel packs.
